Our story

Waldenwoods Foundation was founded in 2004 with the motto “Rural Empowerment with sustainable Development”. Our focus is reverse the trend of migration from the urban to the rural areas. We are going to provide modern amenities like electricity, safe water supply, telecommunication, transport, organic food, amusement, health services, healthy lifestyle, pollution-free environment and lots of fresh air in our Waldenwoods Eco Village (WEV).

After acquiring 300 acres of land by its founder member and toiling for 13 long years in order to achieve infrastructure development, now the Eco Village is ready to offer 100 independent cottages to its early bird customers, who will eventually be our partners in progress. You may call it your second home or farm house or a recreational and wellness dwelling.

Our aim is to create a habitation with rural flavour and urban amenities., so that “Back to village” will no more be a slogan but an inner voice for many. We will make basic facilities like road, electricity, water , education and health service available to the villagers and more importantly direct and indirect employment opportunity to check the distress migration to urban areas. We will showcase our village culture, art and cuisine to the world through ecotourism.
